Projects

Here’s an unfinished list of the things I’m working on, or have worked on.

Diversity and Ability

DnA is a wonderful company that I’m very proud to be a director of. I head up the IT department, which is a fancy way of saying that I make sure the emails work and the website doesn’t fall over. I’m also responsible for building D&A’s internal tooling, and providing general tech support.

Inside the Edit

I’m the backend developer for the Inside the Edit online course. A great set of video lectures that teach you how to become a world class video editor.

PickTeamz

I’m the backend developer for the PickTeamz fantasy football game.

RFGraph

I’m the backend and frontend developer for the RFGraph simulator/builder project.

vantage

vantage is an open source tool I built to help developers write and run scripts. If your projects have a scripts folder full of little bash scripts that help automate things like building and deploying, then take a look at vantage. It adds great support for environments, so you can run a command using your test credentials, then switch environment and use the production settings.

billabl

This side project lets you track the time you spend working using your calendar. It then pulls the calendar info and generates a report for you. So you can focus on work when you need to, and quickly get the details you need when it comes time to invoice.

invelope

A financial planning/organising tool that uses envelope budgeting. My wife and I tried all the personal finance tools out there. We couldn’t find one we liked enough to stick with. So I built one just for us. You might find it useful too.

SleepyMap

A service that takes in a spreadsheet and gives you back a map that you can embed on your website that has custom markers and popups. Has nifty search and filtering options too.

BAFTA

I worked for BAFTA for several years on their Source2Screen application (now called BAFTA Electron). It’s the software that powers the awards system, I helped them turn it from internal tool to commerical product.
